We reserve the right to modify these policies at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Shipping Information & Policies

Standard Shipping

Processing Time

90% of orders ship same day. Maximum processing time for in-stock items located at our store is 5 business days from receipt.

Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

Orders placed after 1:00 PM CST will begin processing the following business day.

Shipping Methods & Delivery Times

Domestic Shipping (United States)

Items located at our shop ship via USPS or UPS. These items ship flat-rate according to total order cost.

If we are able to secure a faster delivery method for the same cost, we will choose the faster speed regardless of what was chosen at checkout. If you have a specific delivery service you need, please indicate this in the notes section of your order.

Exact shipping costs will be calculated at checkout. If you do not see the shipping speed you're needing, contact us at shop@socius.design.

Note: Larger or heavier items may incur additional shipping charges

Address Requirements
  • We ship to verified shipping addresses only
  • Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate
  • Address changes cannot be made once an order has been processed
  • All addresses must be USPS-deliverable
Order Tracking

Tracking information will be emailed once your order ships. You can then track your order anytime through your account dashboard or via the tracking page on the shipping provider's website with the tracking number.

Please allow 24-48 hours for tracking information to update after receiving notification.

Shipping Restrictions
  • We do not ship to P.O. boxes.
  • Some items may have additional shipping restrictions.
  • Certain hazardous materials may require special handling and shipping methods.
  • All shipping restrictions follow USPS guidelines.
International Shipping

Currently, we do not ship internationally. This may change in the future.

Lost or Damaged Packages
  • Claims for lost packages must be filed within 14 days of the expected delivery date
  • Damaged packages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery
  • Please retain all original packaging and damaged items for claims processing
  • Claims will be processed in accordance with USPS & UPS policies
Weather Delays
  • Severe weather conditions may impact delivery times
  • We are not responsible for carrier delays due to weather
  • No refunds will be issued for weather-related delays
Holiday Shipping
  • Extended processing times may apply during peak holiday seasons
  • We recommend placing orders early during holiday periods to ensure timely delivery

Direct Distributor Shipping

Mustard Made

Mustard Made lockers, baskets, ledges, and hangers ship directly from their US distributor. Shipping times and methods for Mustard Made products will differ from our standard shipping policy.

If your order contains Mustard Made items, as well as items stocked at our brick and mortar shop, your order will divide into two shipments.

At this time, it is not possible to do shipping combined with local pickup. In that scenario, we recommend ordering your Mustard Made products separately, and then placing a Local Pickup order for any remaining items.

Tracking information for Mustard Made orders will be provided via email. For questions about Mustard Made shipping status, please consult the order page within your account, or email us at shop@sociusdesign.com

Processing timeframes for Mustard Made products average 5-7 business days, with an additional 5-7 business days for shipping time. If you need your items to come sooner, contact us at shop@sociusdesign.com and we'll see what's possible. Faster shipping times will incur additional costs; if interested, we are able to provide an estimate of these costs.

Please contact us at shop@sociusdesign.com if you have not received your Mustard Made products after 14 business days.

Tala

While many Tala products ship from our shop, there are several that ship from their US distributor. Shipping times and methods for these products will differ from our standard shipping policy.

If your order contains Tala items that ship directly from their distributor, as well as items stocked at our brick and mortar shop, your order will divide into two shipments.

At this time it is not possible to combine shipping and local pickup for one order. In that scenario, we recommend ordering the Tala products that require shipping separately, and then placing a Local Pickup order for any remaining items.

Tracking information will be provided for Tala orders via email.

Yamazaki Home

Yamazaki Home products ship directly from their US distributor. Shipping times and methods for Yamazaki products will differ from our standard shipping policy.

If your order contains Yamazaki Home items, as well as items stocked at our brick and mortar shop, your order will divide into two shipments.

At this time, it is not possible to combine shipping and local pickup. In that scenario, we recommend ordering your Yamazaki Home products separately, and then placing a Local Pickup order for any remaining items.

Tracking information will be provided for Yamazaki Home orders via email.

Returns

Return Policy

It is important to us that you love your purchase, so know that we will gladly work with you for items eligible for returns within 30 days after receipt.

The majority of our products can be returned in new condition, with all original packaging within 30 days of purchase.

The following items are FINAL SALE and are not eligible for return: all items within the "On Sale" section of our site; all NA beverages and tea; Botnia skincare; cut fabric pieces; installed or open wallpaper; open Osmo wood finish products; lighting that has been installed and is in working condition; clothing that has been worn; bags that have been used; any item not in new and original condition; any item marked Final Sale.

To return a product, submit a return request within 30 days of purchase through the order section of your online account: https://account.sociusdesignstudio.com.

Please ensure that items are unused, have not been installed, are in original condition with all original packaging.

Original shipping costs will not be refunded, and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. You can purchase your own return shipping label, or we can provide a return label for you, deducting the shipping cost from your refund.

Returns can also be made in store during normal business hours for no additional cost.

Returning for a Refund

When returning for a refund, the return shipping will be deducted from the return amount, if we are providing the shipping label. This amount will vary due to size and weight of item being returned.

Refunds will be issued to the credit card or original payment method used to make the original purchase, or for store credit.

Items must be original condition with all original packaging. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure the safe arrival of an item. If an item arrives broken or damaged, the cost to replace the item will be deducted from the refund amount.

Original shipping costs are not refunded.

Non-Returnable Items

Non-returnable items are not eligible for refund or store credit.

They include open or used wallpaper; cork wall coverings; cut fabric pieces; custom, specialty or made to order light fixtures; light fixtures which have been installed and are in working condition; food, beverage and perishable items; Botnia skincare; and any item marked final sale.

Return Abuse

socius design does monitor return activity for abuse and reserves the right to limit returns or exchanges in all instances. All returns are subject to validation and approval at socius design's discretion. If a return is not approved by socius design for any reason, and it is still sent back, the item may not be returned to you.
